Introduction to Rabbi Benjamin

Rabbi Fred Benjamin received his ordination at The Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1987.  Two years of Rabbincal School were spent at Jerusalem's Hebrew University.  His undergraduate studies were at The Ohio State University where he earned a BS in psychology with an emphasis in early child development.

A Rabbi for 20 years, Rabbi Benjamin has extensive experience in Jewish camping, formal and informal education, has guided archeological digs in Israel and, due to his musical background, has even served as a visiting Cantor.  Rabbi Benjamin moved to Israel in 1995 and worked as a guide and taught at Young Judea's Year Course. In 1999 he moved to the Boston area and upon accepting the position as our Rabbi, moved to Milton.

His daughter, Yael, is in college and his son, Noah, is a High School senior.  He is an avid sportsman who plays league softball in the summer and ice-hockey year round.  He also enjoys tennis, Scrabble and taking bike trips....his favorite was from Vienna to Prague.
